My mum & dad's first ever car, back in the late 1950's. I always understood it to be a 1948 Ford 8, but others have told me it was a Ford Y dating back to the late 1930's. Whatever, it was replaced in the 1960's by a Hillman Husky, and the Ford ended up as a stock car. Mum called it "Bumpy Anna", it always went faster at the top of Duncton Hill on the way to Goodwood, and never broke down!
